Musicrypt Inc. (TSX-V: MCT, OTC: MCYPF), the leader in secure digital media distribution, is pleased to announce that Garry Wallace has been appointed Senior Vice President Sales and advertising entrepreneur Len Gill has been elected to the Board of Directors, replacing Gerry Lacoursiere who is retiring after eight years of distinguished service. Chris Montgomery is leaving the position of Executive Vice President Global Marketing to pursue other opportunities.
Garry Wallace holds a BSc degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto and an Electronic Technologist diploma in Design from Centennial College. Garry started his career in the Networking Division of Xerox Co. and rose to executive positions in Service, Sales, Sales Management, General Management and Marketing. Leaving Xerox as Director of Partnering after a 23 year span, in the early 90's Garry joined the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce's strategy office as Director of Sales and Service. In the mid-90's Garry joined Compaq Computers as Vice President of Services Sales. In 2000 Garry became President and CEO of Telepanel Systems, a public company where he brought multiple rounds of financing to the firm and engaged numerous industry partners. Currently Garry is a director of CIUT radio based at the University of Toronto and is a director for the web search marketing firm, Avalanche Networks.
Len Gill founded Echo Advertising and Marketing and operated it profitably as Chairman and CEO for 26 years. Echo grew to become one of the five dominant entertainment specialist-advertising agencies in the world employing 185 personnel with offices in Toronto, Mexico, London and New York. Echo developed and created the materials for some of the largest tours of all time, including the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, U2, and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. In addition, Echo marketed over 60 motion pictures a year, Broadway productions and motorsport events, developed the Amex 'Front of the Line' program, and handled all advertising for Labatt’s Brewery and The Toronto Blue Jays. In 2002, Len sold the agency to UK based CSS Stellar. In 2005, Len started a new entertainment focused marketing enterprise called twenty6two Int'l, responsible for all the advertising and marketing for Barbra Streisand world tour, the Rolling Stones, “A Bigger Bang”, the WHO and Genesis.
"We are fortunate to have someone with Garry Wallace’s experience as a top sales executive join our team, plus Len Gill will bring significant expertise in the advertising space as we move into that exciting new vertical,” said John Heaven, President & CEO of Musicrypt. “Gerry Lacoursiere has been a director from the beginning and his input at the boardroom table will be sorely missed. Chris Montgomery has made a valuable contribution to the growth of Musicrypt and we wish him continued success in his future endeavours.”
