Infrastructure Overhaul
In 1956, U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower championed the formation of the Federal Aid Highway Act, which fathered the National System of Interstate and Defense Highways, aka “the Interstate.” Now with over 47,000 miles of highways stretching across the country, there is no denying that this major overhaul to the way that we get from Point A to Point B changed travel, commerce, and development forever.
Things were great before, sure. If you wanted to travel from Maine to Missouri there were means by which to do so. But what if you could get there quicker and more efficiently? Since the installation of the Interstate System, now you could.
In September we experienced an overhaul of our own. We launched a major update to our platform, an extension of Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS), which came with a new look and user interface that is even faster, more responsive, and optimized for use on desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. We knew that with the latest advancements in monitors, we needed to make our interface scale efficiently to maximize screen real estate. A key component of the new design is an easy to use navigation which streamlines daily workflow tasks and enables users to work quicker and more efficiently.
The new enhancements encompass both the Advertising and Music applications with two primary areas of focus. The first is the library – users can now see more data and power users can better control what data they want to see. Most common functions can now be performed with just one click. Users sending media have also been provided a number of new workflow tools that make list management and asset/destination grouping and segmentation simpler and more efficient.
Just like the Interstate has seen additions, expansions, and progress, the look and feel of our platform will continue to evolve with future near-term modifications. Intended future inclusions encompass workflow updates for music and music video senders, tracking services integrations, drag-and-drop traffic data management, and advanced broadcast automation features and functionality.
